Voting info
Election Day is Monday, October 26th. Special advance voting days run from Thursday, October 1st to Sunday, October 4th. During these days, you can vote at any 1 of 10 locations across the city regardless of address. Regular advance voting takes place on Friday, October 16th. Voting takes place during all these days from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. You can also click here to learn more about voting by special mail-in ballot.
In Ontario, eligible voters are required to direct their property taxes to support one of four types of school boards as a ratepayer. The deadline to update your voter registration online has now passed. You can always update your school support at your voting place when you go to vote. To update your information when you go to vote, you can request in-person an "application to add or amend my information on the voters' list" form or complete the form online and bring it with you. You must ensure that you direct your school support to "English Public" so you can vote for Alan as your next OCDSB Trustee for Zone 11 and before you receive your ballot!
Elections Ottawa's office is open Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and can by phone at 613-580-2660 or by email at elections@ottawa.ca should you have any questions.
